Permissions

You must have Billing permissions to delete a payment.

You must have Administrator permissions to delete a credit card payment.

Before You Begin

If the payment is attached to an invoice it first needs to be removed from the invoice in order to be deleted. Click here to learn how to remove the payment from an invoice. 

Any payment deleted will show up in the activity log for the admin to review.

Delete a Payment

  1. Navigate to your desired client.
  2. On the sidebar menu click Ledger
  3. Find the section, Unapplied Payments/Credits and Refunds (please apply these to an invoice). The unapplied payment will be listed there for you to either apply to an invoice or delete. 
  4. Click the Delete button.
  5. Confirm you want to delete the payment by clicking the Delete Payment button in the pop up.
